Get Your Knead on with the Graston Technique
Greetings, health enthusiasts! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to combine ancient healing wisdom with the power of modern innovation? Well, we’re about to dive in to one of our favorite treatments that does just that; the Graston Technique.

What's the Graston Technique, Anyway?

The Graston Technique is a revolutionary form of soft tissue therapy that utilizes specialized instruments to detect and treat adhesions and scar tissue lurking within your muscles.

Benefits That'll Make Your Muscles Sing

  1. Smoother Moves: The Graston Technique is a maestro when it comes to improving your range of motion. Wave goodbye to those tight, restricted muscles and say hello to fluid and unrestricted movement.
  2. Bye-Bye, Scar Tissue: Scar tissue can be a pesky guest that overstays its welcome. However, the Graston Technique has got your back (or your shoulders, or wherever you need it). By gently breaking down scar tissue, it allows your body to rebuild healthier, stronger tissue.
  3. Pain, Pain, Go Away: If you’ve been dealing with chronic pain, this technique might be the magic potion you’ve been searching for – or at least part of it. By targeting those trigger points and adhesions, the Graston Technique can help alleviate pain and discomfort. You’ll be doing cartwheels and high-fiving strangers in no time (responsibly, of course)!

What to Expect

We use this technique often in the office, along with other holistic treatments. Here’s a sneak peek at what awaits you during your session if we determine it’s right for you:

  1. The Warm-Up: We’ll start by warming up your muscles to ensure they’re ready for the treatment. Stretching, gentle massage, or even some therapeutic exercises may be required. Consider it your pre-show stretching routine!
  2. The Main Event: Now, it’s time for the star of the show—the Graston instruments. These tools are waved over your skin, gently detecting and treating those unruly adhesions. Don’t worry; it’s not as scary as it sounds (or looks, the steel tools can look a little strange at first). Think of it as an intense and invigorating deep-tissue massage by a super-talented medical professional (if I do say so myself).
  3. Afterglow and Rejuvenation: As the Graston treatment wraps up, you’ll feel a delightful mix of relaxation and invigoration. Your muscles will thank you, and your body will be ready to conquer the world (or at least your next Zumba class)!
