Spring cleaning season is upon us! Do you know what this means? It’s the season of moving, helping friends move, rearranging your living room on a whim, throwing out the clutter in your life, and introducing new clutter (I’m just being honest…did you really need that new pair of shoes?). HOWEVER, just because it’s the season of “out with the old, in with the new” doesn’t mean you get to just throw out your health and forget all those healthy habits you try to stick to the rest of the year.
One of the most common reasons we see patients are sports injuries, including weightlifting. Spring cleaning can be similar to this and other sports because it often involves heavy things being lifted and moved, which often leads to injuries, and leads YOU into our office! This certainly does not have to be the case (the injuries part, we can’t do much about the rest). Lifting things properly is easy if you remember a few key components.
